I am missing you a lot here in Pune. I am missing the Lumbini Park , the NTR Gardens, the Necklace Road, Indira Park, and other small small parks, Jalaram Bapa Mandir, Paradise (heart of the city), Haridwar Restaurant (our mostly fixed food joint for weekends), General bazar, all those occasional " Melas", Kavadiguda (my locality), and all my and U's friends who were close to our hearts.
Pune....none literally none of the above mentioned things or like things are there except friends.
But Of course one thing i am NOT AT ALL missing is "Monkeys". In fact i am so glad that we are living in the place where monkeys are not even in sight let alone their fear. My son here, has grown playing in the garden within our society in 1 year, like he has not grown for 3 years in Hyderabad because we were not allowed to go out even for wandering around in the society (by monkeys). so no question of kids playing. Of course those extra brave boys would play there games along with one default game of hide and seek with monkeys. But yes this was the only fall of Hyderabad for me, but actually the area.
I hope someday I will come to my Hyderabad for visit and refresh my sweet memories. Although I can't come back and get settled there again since we have already bought a flat in Pune and my in laws would never get ready to settle down in Hyd anyways.
Well!! we stay where our Bread and Butter is fixed by God. No option. No choice.Cindrellahttp://www.blogger.com/profile/17704412194801691241noreply@blogger.com3tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7704171427663128742.post-85842226015882285432008-01-01T08:49:00.000-08:002008-01-01T09:09:11.314-08:00Happy New YearHello Friends,

Sorry for updating my blog after a looooong span.
Accept my New Year Wishes and Cheers :)

Ring out the old, ring in the new,
Ring, happy bells, across the snow:
The year is going, let him go;
Ring out the false, ring in the true.
~Alfred, Lord Tennyson, 1850

Cindrellahttp://www.blogger.com/profile/17704412194801691241noreply@blogger.com4tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7704171427663128742.post-16341262178500086232007-09-23T09:32:00.003-07:002007-09-23T10:55:49.238-07:00Ganesha in HyderabadLord Ganesha is worshipped as the lord of Wisdom and Success and destroyer of evils and obstacles. The 10 days of Ganesha festival are the best days in Hyderabad.Ganesh Chaturthi is celebrated as the birthday of Ganesha. The day from Ganesh Chaturthi till Ganesh Visarjan, the enthusiasm in the city is remarkable. Enchanted with the splendour of the city we used to roam around in narrow lanes for Ganesha Darshan. In a single lane, you can easily find 4 Ganesha Idols hardly fitting in. This is what we call "Great Devotion". Never seen this mood in my home town, Indore for continuous 10 days.As we were wandering we came across several types of Ganesha Idols, we took snaps of the idols with the most unique features:

Ganesha in different Colours and Avatars:

Angry Young Ganesha

<img style="margin: 0px auto 10px; We all celebrate it with religious fervour. In our family also we celebrate it with great pomp. Actually, India is a land of festivals. Every day we observe a new festival, particularly this time between July to Oct/Nov most of the festivals fall. My sister in Chicago miss them a lot and that is the main reason why i don't want to settle down in abroad. we miss that religious zeal and enthusiasm there. Not that they are not festive or religious, but they have different festivals which are celebrated differently. Even while being in Hyderabad i miss some festivals that we used to celebrate in North in a more grand style.

Well, coming back to Krishnashtami... Yesterday we observed fast whole day and chanted some Krishna bhajans in evening (with Krishna and Radha) and finally went for Krishna Darshan in Temple.Yes!! you thought it right. How come with Krishna and Radha? That's my son and his friend. For a couple of years, one more job has been added to me, for that day along with other things to do, is to makeover my son as Krishna and make sure that his friend gets dressed like Radha. He is so fond of Lord Krishna. He watches Krishna serial, Cartoon series with great interest and is fascinated by those big monsters (Rakshasaz) and how Krishna defeat them so easily. Here's a snap of him and his friend in the avatar.......

Cindrellahttp://www.blogger.com/profile/17704412194801691241noreply@blogger.com9tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7704171427663128742.post-69025098673108371202007-08-30T22:13:00.000-07:002007-08-30T23:06:27.595-07:00What a Shame!!! :(In a tragic fallout of a political streetfight................., a Four-year-old boy died while being taken to a hospital after the ambulance carrying the sick child got stuck in traffic during clashes between Congress and BJP workers in Simla. The ambulance despite its blaring siren could not proceed as the road was blocked by the protesters. The police was busy dealing with the protesters.

Even the emotional appeals of the mother of the child to the police and party workers to let the ambulance pass as the boy needed urgent medical attention fell on deaf ears.In a desperate move, the child's mother got down from ambulance and carried him to another hospital nearby. However, the child died on the way.Had he made it to the hospital 15 minutes earlier, Docs might have saved him

As i was watching this heart piercing incident on News Channel, tears filled my eyes seeing the mother fighting for her child's life but was easily dragged apart by the fight struck ears.I started cursing the Administration once again. The police constables were just like those of "Pawns" in the game "Chess".Looked like they were there only out of there job and not "duty", moving there hands little bit and being so defensive. Had a Police been a little bit aggressive and done a gun shot in open air, the crowd would have easily shattered and the boy would have been saved. But no, unless they get orders how can they proceed for a thing like that, they can't think on there own. Phew!!

First the terrorists are killing innocent people by bomb blasts and such activities and than these in-house terrorists, the political parties workers are taking life like this.we don't understand where we are safe? and under which Government we are safe?

Remained totally confused between life and death, O Almighty, i am under your shelter. I pray u to save all of us OR this is your idea of "Kalyug". Even if it is, i request u to give Dog's death to all those sick minded killers who don't respect life, in turn don't respect you.

Cindrellahttp://www.blogger.com/profile/17704412194801691241noreply@blogger.com9tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7704171427663128742.post-705715159459925942007-08-16T04:09:00.000-07:002007-08-16T05:13:05.876-07:00See the Beauty at 60 Happy Birthday to India........Completing the 60 years of Independence

Here's wishing everybody a very happy Independence day.15th August,1947 was the day when India was liberated from the reign of British. It was a birth of a new nation and a new beginning.

"At the stroke of the midnight hour, when the world sleeps, India will awake to life and freedom. And the other person in our affection and love can listen to them quietly but is deeply hurt.Best thing is to keep quite when the misunderstanding takes the shape of argument.Give it time. And you will learn if it was ur mistake or the other person will learn automatically with the pace of time if it was his.
Silence speaks.

I strongly believe in this and try to follow this. He was educated at St. Paul's School. Milton received a Masters degree from Cambridge University in 1632.

Milton is the legendary poet in Literature. One of his best piece of work is "Paradise Lost". It contains 12 books.
Here are the first few lines of the greatest epic :

"Of Man's first disobedience, and the fruit
Of that forbidden tree whose mortal taste
Brought death into the World, and all our woe,
With loss of Eden, till one greater Man
Restore us, and regain the blissful seat, "

These lines gives the gist of whole poem.
As Men was also an immortal creature before, like God. But the sheer blunder by Adam and Eve(i.e. by eating the fruit of a Forbidden Tree) caused Men to fall into the misery of Life and Death.
A very common topic presented in the most uncommon and tactful manner, only Milton can do.
Beautiful Art of Literature.

Enjoy!!!Cindrellahttp://www.blogger.com/profile/17704412194801691241noreply@blogger.com6
